Frequently Asked Questions

How does Squid Go work?

Squid Go works by combining sequential compression with cold therapy. Each Squid wrap is specifically developed for a body part and includes a sequential compression air bladder*, designed to move swelling away from the treated area while cold penetrates deeply into the tissues. This combination can help reduce edema and pain, improve blood circulation, and decrease inflammation.

For athletes, Squid Go is an excellent recovery tool, as it provides highly effective cold therapy while helping to remove metabolites like lactic acid from treated muscles, increasing circulation and preparing the body for new activities.

*With the exception of the shoulder wrap, which does not include sequential compression.

How long does the treatment last?

Each treatment cycle lasts 15 minutes and is controlled by the Squid Go pump. At the end of the 15 minutes, the pump will beep and automatically shut off. You can choose to use Squid Go conventionally with a gel pack or with the wrap only, if you only want compression.

How is Squid Go different from other cold therapies?

Traditional ice packs and cold water circulators provide superficial treatment, as vascular blood flow disperses the cold from the treated area. Squid Go uses intermittent sequential compression to temporarily reduce blood flow, allowing the cold to penetrate deeper into muscles and ligaments.

Furthermore, Squid Gel Packs freeze at -18°C while maintaining elasticity, offering colder temperatures and shorter treatment times (15 minutes) compared to cold water circulators.

What are the sizes of Squid Go?

The Squid Go Wraps for Ankle, Leg/Knee and Shoulder, together with the Gels, are available in Regular and LARGE sizes. (The recommended sizes for choosing the correct size are indicated on the Shop page for each product).
